We started out with a new bean bag game to review matching capital letters to lower case letters. Each girl took a turn tossing a lower case letter bean bag to the matching uppercase letter bag. Each week we will add the new letters we learn into the game.

Olivia tossing her lowercase b to the uppercase B.
Reese tossing the lowercase a to the capital AOur letter for this week was Dd. We were able to make a dog and a duck this week since they start with the letter D. Today we read a book called Little Quack. After the girls finished making their duck we acted out the book and each of them played the role of one of the ducks in the book. They enjoyed that:) We also played a game of Duck Duck Goose!
This week we also talked about rectangles. We found several rectangles around our classroom. Our wall posters, tables, and doors. I gave the girls a piece of string that had the 2 ends tied together and asked them if they could make a rectangle out of the yarn since their are 4 of them.
Here is what they came up with! They did great!

Each girl took one corner and formed a rectangle. We talked about the 2 long sides of rectangles and the 2 short sides and that some rectangles are big, like this one, and some are small.
We also talked about the number 3. We added one more puff ball into our jar, glued 3 pieces of macaroni onto their paper jar, colored 3 turtles and practiced writing the number 3. We also talked about Reese and Keira being 3 years old:)

Whenever the girls finish up their activities before the other girls they are able to read books. They love looking through books!

Ashlee reading books, waiting for her friends to finish up their activities.
