After we learned A-Z and had our celebration, we learned our vowels, A E I O U. We learned a fun song to the tune of B-I-N-G-O to help the girls remember the letters, we also learned the vowel sounds and made mini books for each of the vowels.
I pulled out a ABC animal puzzle, the girls last tried to do it during the first semester, it was really really hard for them then. Now that they know all their letters it was a breeze. It was fun to see how smart they are getting!
We also worked on more and less. We had rows of pennies and the girls needed to figure out which row and more. I would trick them by spacing out the row of pennies that had less, to make the line look like it had more. I tricked them a few times, but they soon caught my trick:)
We would also draw pictures on the board for each other and then had to circle which picture had more or less.
Easter Celebrations!
We did a bunny hop race:)
We made cute bunny cookies.
We ate our cute bunny cookies:)
We used Easter foam art to make a Happy Easter poster.
We also learned to count by 10's this month;
We stacked cups up that had 10 dots on each cup. The girls had to count, 10, 20, 30...as they stacked each cup.
We also painted a poster with 100 dots on it!
It has been a great month with lots of learning. We have also learned to read words in the -at, -am, -an, and -it families so far. The girls are doing great!
