Ff, 5, rhombus, pink

This week in preschool we talked about the letter f. Fish, fairy, flower, five...all start with f. We made a fish from a paper plate, we colored 5 fish to put in our fish bowl, and we also practiced writing the letter Ff. It was just perfect that this week our number was 5 and our letter was F!

The girls were finishing up their fish bowls and eating their snack.

We also used foam fish to sort and make patterns...

The girls sorted them by color.

Then made patterns. Keira chose pink, yellow for her pattern.

Olivia did a blue, orange pattern

Ashlee did a fancy pattern with pink, pink, pink, purple. Very good!!

We also played a game of Go Fish with princess cards. The girls played the game great! It was a great way to work on communicating. They had to use complete sentences and say for example, "Keira, do you have a Mermaid?" They would have to respond either "Yes I do." or "Go Fish" They were very polite with each other and played great. I was very impressed!

Our shape for this week was rhombus. We talked about how this shape has a nickname and it is diamond. We each talked about our nicknames that our family call us at home. Rhombus has a nickname too. We listened to a song about a rhombus. The girls liked it and had me play it twice:)
Here is the link if you want to listen to it:

We also made a kite since it is shaped like a rhombus.
Keira with her kite.

Since our color was pink this week the girls used a pink crayon to draw a picture of something that is pink. We also read a book about colors and talked about everything that was pink in the book.
