Gg, 6, white and pentagon week!

We were so so busy this week that I forgot to take picture! I can't believe I forgot!

This week we worked on the letter G. We talked about words that start with G. We were able to make a little Girl and a ghost. We practiced writing the letter G and also made a book of things that begin with G to take home and read to our families.

Our number for the week was 6. We were able to practice writing the number 6, count to the number six and make a clown out of the number 6 holding 6 balloons. We also played a game with a big dice. The girls were able to roll the dice, count the number of dots and move their marker on the game board.

White. Each of the girls had to think of something that is white. Keira told us that clouds are white, Ashlee showed us a poster on the wall that was white. Olivia told us that snowmen are white and Reese showed us that my pointer stick is white. We were able to make a book of white things and take it home and read it to our families as well. We also made a ghost out of cotton balls.

This week I taught the girls what a pentagon was. It is a tricky shape that the girls haven't really heard before. Keira took a look at it and said that she has a birdhouse at home that looks like a pentagon! I'm so glad she shared that with the class and that she could relate the shape to an object she had at home with that same shape!

I am looking forward to a fun month of October!! See you all next week!
